Applying Online - Frequently Asked Questions

Q. I haven't got all the information I need for my application.

If a course application requires a fuller set of information (e.g. detailed qualifications, personal statement, referee) you will be able to save your application and come back later. When you click on the Save button on any page you will exit the system and all data and uploaded documents will be saved. An email will be sent your email address, this will include a link from which you can retrieve your application.

Note : when applying for short courses this function will often be disabled.

Q. Which email address will you use to send me emails?

After you have clicked on the Apply button, you will be asked to enter some basic personal information, including an email address. This address will be used for email correspondence.

Q. I have submitted my application and now want to provide some additional supporting documents.

For most courses, you will be able to upload supporting documents via the Applicant Portal. You will be able to access your portal once you have set up your Teesside University IT account. This is normally sent via email several days after your application has been received.

You can email supporting documents to the appropriate email address which can be found at the bottom of this page. Please ensure you include any reference numbers we have provided you with.

Q. How do I re-access my application once I have left the system?

If you have Saved your application you can access it again via the link in the email we sent to you. This link is valid for 30 days and can be used a maximum of 5 times. Once your application has been Submitted you cannot currently re-access it.
Note : if an application has not been updated for 90 days, it will no longer be possible to re-access it.

Note : when applying for short courses this function will often be disabled.
